Although born and educated in the U.K., Peter has spent more than half his life living elsewhere, with long stints in Belgium, Scotland, France, and Monte Carlo. While living in Paris in 2000, he met an American lady from Falls Church, Virginia on vacation, and in the Summer of 2000 moved to Falls Church to live with, and marry her.
For 20 years Peter worked in the television and film industry, in international distribution, but photography was his passion. In October 2001 Peter devoted himself full time to photography,
and started selling prints of his photographs taken on his many trips all over the world.
Since that time, he has had work exhibited in 5 juried shows at the Art League in Alexandria, and had exhibitions at a variety of venues in Virginia and Maryland. His photographs now hang in offices and private homes in America, Europe, Africa, Asia, India and Australia. He regularly sells his prints at the Montgomery Farm Womens Cooperative Market on Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda, Maryland (on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays), and at the Georgetown Flea Market, currently at Courthouse in Arlington, Virginia (on Sundays). In addition, he participates in a number of Arts and Crafts Fairs, Street Fairs and Markets in the Washington D.C Metro area.
Travel, landscape and nature photography are Peter’s main interests, but he also does a variety of commissioned work, particularly natural portraits of children.

Although I love travel photography, landscape and nature photography are my greatest loves. I find being in nature enriching for my soul, and photographing animals in the wild is one of my greatest joys. Being allowed – even briefly – to be in their world, and to witness them undisturbed in their natural habitat always humbles me, and makes me feel greatly privileged to have had that opportunity.
Whether it is seeing Bengal tigers in the west of Nepal, cheetahs in South Africa, or a newborn deer in the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia, any encounter with animals in nature is always thrilling to me.
To show the beauty of nature, and to try and share the feeling of being there, and to put the viewer in my place when I was there, is what I try and do in my photographs.
