I am a local personal chef who enjoys many types of cooking and cuisines.  Several years ago, my sister took me to a chocolate candymaking class and we’ve both had fun making chocolates ever since. I use a high quality chocolate similar to Belgian chocolate. The turtles, which have a soft caramel center with pecans, are my most popular sellers; however I make a wide variety for my customers.

In addition to cooking, I enjoy a variety of crafts. Many years ago, a friend and I were vacationing in Massachusetts where everyone seemed to be knitting. We took a class and I quickly earned the nickname “knittin’ fool”.  I like to combine different textures and yarns for a more unusual effect.   My scarves always contain yarns that are soft to the touch and won’t irritate the skin.  Lately I’ve been making felted wool items, which have become very popular in recent years. Occasionally I work from a pattern, but usually I prefer come up with my own designs so that each piece will be a unique work of art.

Marianne Kokkoros
I’ve always admired the pottery of American Indians, the figures and masks of Africa and the works of ancient civilizations. After retiring, I was finally able to take courses and workshops in pottery and discovered a great satisfaction in working with clay.  My pieces are hand built from slabs or coils of clay.  This way of working gives free range to the imagination to create unusual, functional forms.

I am inspired by nature and primitive art. I like to use earth tones and incorporate various items from nature into my pieces.
