Neena Jhaveri
Breathtaking pottery, silk and canvas art

Multimedia artist Neena Jhaveri has come a long way since her fine arts and economics baccalaureates. Over the last 20 years Neena has grown from being a watercolor artist to one that tackles canvas, clay and silk with just as much ease. Every 2 years Neena takes on an additional media to master.

Over the years Neena has participated in several regional and national juried art shows including the famous mini paintings shows held in New York City’s Greenwich Village and Fells Point, Baltimore. The paintings are a result of an extraordinary talent to bring together oils, gauche and natural materials such as sand and fabric. The build-up of different materials in her landscapes transfer a sense of peace and harmony to the viewer. Her paintings start a story and leave it open-ended for the spectator to finish.

Neena began her pottery career in 1996 with hand building some mugs. That interest has now developed into a very unique hand building technique that combines nature’s gifts (flowers and herbs) with proprietary clay. Her pottery is truly unique and very functional in nature. Neena’s latest addition to her arsenal is SILK. She makes hand painted silk scarves, sarongs as well as silk paintings. Neena believes that the expression of creativity and art are limitless.

Neena’s paintings and pottery can be found in corporate and private collections across United States, England, Scotland, France, Japan, Germany and her native India.
